Legeneering (Aust) Pty Ltd

Small and Medium Enterprises

Overview

Legeneering has a strong history supporting Australia’s defence and marine sectors through specialist fabrication, mechanical installation, maintenance, sustainment and refurbishment services. Our defence industry experience is built on more than 20 years supporting vessel construction, maintenance and complex mechanical integration works across programs such as SEA1180, Evolved Cape Class Patrol Boat (ECCPB) and Armidale Class Patrol Boat (ACPB) fleet construction and maintenance. This experience includes structural and piping fabrication, shaftline and driveline alignment, bow thruster, stabiliser and steering system installation, in-situ machining, 3D scanning, dimensional verification and site-based execution support. Legeneering continues to support defence maritime programs by delivering practical, technically capable and responsive services across vessel build, sustainment and remediation scopes, helping improve delivery certainty, quality outcomes and operational readiness.

Capabilities

Legeneering provides integrated defence, marine and industrial capability across project management, survey, design, fabrication, coatings, mechanical installation, maintenance and site execution. These capabilities benefit defence customers by reducing delivery interfaces, improving fit-up certainty, controlling rework risk and supporting schedule-critical vessel build, sustainment and remediation scopes.

Core capabilities include specialist vessel driveline installation and maintenance, laser alignment, in-situ and workshop machining, structural and piping fabrication, LR/DNV-GL/ABS coded welding, protective coatings, QA/QC workpacking and OQE delivery, dimensional verification, 3D survey and digital twin asset management.

Recent defence maritime examples include SEA1180 Arafura Class Offshore Patrol Vessel work involving power train and driveline installation, machining, alignment, survey and jig fabrication for shaft seals, bearings, gearboxes, main engines, shafts, couplings and propellers. Legeneering has also supported steering, stabiliser, anchor, stern gate and rapid intercept craft retrieval systems, plus main engine and generator exhaust fabrication and installation.

Across Cape Class and Evolved Cape Class patrol vessel activities, Legeneering has delivered stern tube remediation, propeller and shaft removal/reinstallation, bearing housing machining, gearbox and main engine alignment, mast fabrication, OQE delivery and class/client survey support.
