Overview

AfterService.ai is an agentic AI platform purpose-built for Australian veterans navigating Department of Veterans’ Affairs claims, entitlements, and support services. The platform provides veterans with a digital advocate, available 24/7, that understands DVA legislation, medical evidence requirements, and the full spectrum of veteran support pathways.

The company operates two products. AfterService is the veteran-facing web and mobile application, featuring AI agents that guide veterans through entitlements, claims preparation, and connection to services. Connect is a CRM built for ex-service organisations and providers that support veterans, enabling case management, claims tracking, and coordination across the sector.

The platform is built entirely on sovereign Australian cloud infrastructure, ensuring all veteran data remains onshore. AfterService.ai is designed as national infrastructure for the veteran ecosystem, not a point solution. The commercial model is per-veteran SaaS funded by government, not by veterans themselves, aligning the platform’s incentives with veteran outcomes rather than user fees.

AfterService.ai was founded by veterans, for veterans.

Capabilities

AfterService.ai’s core capability is the design and deployment of agentic AI systems for complex government service navigation. The platform uses a multi-agent architecture where six domain expert AI agents, orchestrated by a supervisory layer, work across veteran entitlements, claims preparation, crisis detection, appeals, and provider coordination.

Specific capabilities relevant to the defence industry include:

AI-powered entitlements assessment: The platform interprets DVA legislation and Statements of Principles to identify what a veteran may be entitled to based on their service history and circumstances. This capability is live in the web application. Claims preparation support: AI agents assist veterans in preparing initial liability claims with the correct evidence structure, reducing the burden on both veterans and DVA processing teams.

Crisis detection: A persistent background monitoring layer identifies indicators of psychological distress across all platform interactions, designed to trigger appropriate escalation pathways.

Sector-wide CRM for ex-service organisations: Connect provides case management, claims tracking with Veterans’ Review Board deadline monitoring, and APP 11 Privacy Act audit trails for the organisations that support veterans on the ground. Sovereign cloud architecture: The entire platform runs on Australian-hosted infrastructure with encryption and identity management, designed to meet government data sovereignty requirements.

The platform’s agentic AI architecture is also applicable beyond the veteran sector. The underlying technology is designed for any population navigating complex government systems, and AfterService.ai has confirmed its first B2B licensing arrangement for AI backbone services in another domain.

Discriminators

Veteran-founded. Both co-founders have direct military service. The platform was built from lived experience of the system it aims to improve, not from outside observation.

Live platform. AfterService.ai is deployed and operational, not a concept or proof of concept. The web application is live, with iOS and Android apps at v1.0 stable.

Agentic AI architecture. The platform uses a multi-agent system with domain-specialised AI agents, not a generic chatbot or search interface. Purpose-built for the complexity of veteran entitlements and DVA processes. Sovereign Australian infrastructure. All data is stored and processed within Australia, meeting government data sovereignty requirements.

Dual-sided platform. AfterService serves veterans directly while Connect serves ex-service organisations and providers, creating a network effect across the entire veteran support ecosystem.
