Onslow Marine Support Base
Overview
Onslow Marine Support Base (OMSB) is a dual‑port marine logistics precinct in the Pilbara, integrating Beadon Creek and the Port of Ashburton into a single, coordinated operational hub.
Located just 17 km apart, the precinct provides more than 600 metres of combined berth line and supports vessels up to 150 m LOA at the Port of Ashburton and 110 m LOA at Beadon Creek.
OMSB is designed to support offshore energy, decommissioning and marine supply chain operations with congestion‑free access, scalable infrastructure and fast vessel turnaround. Facilities include 24/7 residential stevedoring, dual LCT ramps, heavy‑lift crane pad, integrated warehousing, temperature‑controlled storage, and licensed handling of DG and NORM materials.
The precinct is ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified and Climate Active accredited. Upcoming fuel and water storage capacity will further support rapid mobilisation for offshore campaigns. Strategically located near the Northern Carnarvon Basin and regional waste management facilities,

Based in Onslow, OMSB provides onshore support for northern maritime operations with end to end logistic support complemented with a full suites of landside marine services.
Working from the Port of Onslow and the Port of Ashburton, OMSB has the flexibility to accommodate a range of vessel types and scheduling requirements. This dual‑port model also enables concurrent operations, contingency options and scalable capacity.
The precinct includes secure industrial land, warehousing and laydown areas, supporting staging, maintenance, storage and logistics coordination for complex operations. These facilities are supported by integrated marine services, stevedoring, cargo handling and 24/7 operational capability, allowing defence activities to be planned and executed with greater certainty.
OMSB’s operations are underpinned by ISO‑certified safety, quality and environmental management systems, reinforcing reliability, risk management and compliance, critical for defence partners operating in sensitive and high‑consequence environments.
